I hope you’re all doing well.
It’s been a while since I’ve said anything at all on here, so it’s about time for a ‘Wood With Words Update…’
2024 has been my busiest yet, with two long term clients renewing and increasing their services, and a third coming back after a brief pause.
What that means is I’ve not had to get out there and hunt for other work all that much, which is a pretty privileged position to be in as a freelance copywriter.
All other projects tend to be ‘one offs’ these days, such as website rewrites, but the advantage of that is I’m able to pour as much energy as necessary into those (as required) to produce outstanding copy for all of my clients, new and old.
A lot of my time these days is spent working on projects that you wouldn’t class as ‘copywriting’, it’s more marketing and comms type stuff, but the words are still in demand.
You might have thought that the dawn of AI and ChatGPT would render people like me useless, but you’d be wrong. I’ve had more return clients than ever this year, people who had tried their hand with the robots and then come back for the real thing.
AI has its uses, of course it does, but there’s a lot to be said for having a human being you can talk to, who will work hard to truly understand your voice and then craft your messaging to reach specific targets.
That’s me, I’m that human.
It might have been a while and I might have a fairly full calendar, but if you’re looking for a ‘Master Copywriter’ (not my words, but the words of a client…) then I’m probably your man.
I like to work for a varied list of clients from a diverse range of industries.
I’m independent and freelance, which makes me very flexible and open to collaboration.
